A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR

I would like to address you as a mentor, but also a friend who is always around to give advice to students, to help them resolve their dilemmas, and to encourage them to develop their creativity.

Our purpose and mission is to provide a high quality tertiary education and to kindle students' interests and abilities which will propel them towards their desired future. Our informal and friendly attitude, together with a dedication on the part of our instructors and mentors, facilitate students' success at BAS. Our true challenge is to remain a strong link between our students' education and the business community. Our high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs, delivered through state-of-the-art instructional methods for adult education, produce well-rounded and technically proficient entry-level employees who are ready to respond to the requirements of their new positions.

With more than 200 enrolled students, BAS is the most desirable Academy in the region. We provide our students with everything they need to be successful in their studies. We are always there for them, and our approach and style has proven to be effective.

BAS is always in flux, continuously reinventing its instructional process, for example with the introduction of the field practice, our greatest competitive advantage. Mentors from our participating partner companies transfer their knowledge and experience to our students, thus providing students with a practical opportunity to implement their classroom knowledge in a real world setting. The opportunity to get a foot in the door in one of these companies with a highly developed business is something that each BAS student should try to use to his or her advantage.

Oriented towards young people, we insist on quality tertiary education, fortified with practical engagement. We are seriously dedicated to our students because their future depends on how successful we are in transferring our knowledge and skills. We are aware of our previous achievements, but we are also aware of what we have yet to do in order to become a world class business school.

Ultimately, we are an organization that will do everything to support our students' professional development.

Sincerely,

Prof. Cvetko Smilevski, Ph. D.
